Henry Thomas Sparks

One of my bestest friends from way back when, LCMS to be exact, Carrie Jane is having her first little bambino this July.  She and her husband and super cool and free-spirited, totally the type of people that you look at and wonder why in the world they like super dorky you (or me as it were).  Because of the whole living a state away thing, I had to miss her shower, but sent her a hand painted package that I was more than a little fearful of being confiscated by the postal system.

Is it me or is it annoying when pregnant people look this good?  I can assure you I did not.

Having known her for so long, everything about this project made me smile.  Because she said Henry's culahs (colors) were going to be yellow and grey, I made her one of my favorite gifts lately, oversized fleece backed burp cloths!  Seriously, I hate how you can never find a thick enough burp cloth that is big enough to catch everything (too late for a gross out alert?) and still cute. I paired a mustardy-yellow fleece with some giant buffalo check as a nod to her days spent in Wyoming.  Then I took those colors to the old standby...an ABC print.  Check out the print below:
